| ADG
Infotek offers documentation support in all stages of the
lifecycle of a product. We get involved in the pre sales stage
RFP/RFI/RFQ documents and support till the post sales stag
including maintenance, upgrade and release.
ADG Strategic Communication
Services (also known as Content Services) include:
• Technical Documentation
• Marketing communication
• Document Upgrade
• Training
We offer different kind of
service models to our customers based on their needs. Based
on our expertise, we have also evolved processes or methodologies
to handle each and every service. All our documentation projects
follow a well defined methodology.
Service Models
We primarily offer our services
on the following models:
Onsite
In this model, we execute the
project at the customer’s site with involvement from
our end. On a regular basis, the ADG Infotek Project Manager
monitors the work and helps the writer with techniques of
technical writing and usage of documentation tools.
Onsite/Offsite
In this model, we execute the
project with an optimal combination of writers at the customer
premises and a second team in ADG Infotek’s offshore
site. The onsite team coordinates and interacts with the customer
team on all critical activities. The offshore team executes
the project.
Offsite
In this model, we execute the
project at ADG Infotek offshore site. We interact with the
subject matter experts (SMEs), Systems Engineering Group and
developers to obtain information for the documents. These
happen by way of emails and conference calls. We have evolved
and put in place a detailed information gathering process
and review/monitoring process that the writers follow in creating
and maintaining content.
We have set up a dedicated
documentation group who are located in our offshore site but
focus on client-specific development activities.
Document Development Life Cycle
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
proceeds through Analysis & Design, Coding, Code Review
and Testing phases. The Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC)
follows a similar defined process.
During the analysis and design stage,
a documentation plan is made. The inputs to this activity
are received from:
• Subject Matter Experts
• Engineering Experts
• Requirement Specifications & GUI Design Documents
• Product Prototypes or Working Products
The Documentation Plan identifies
• Deliverables (list of documents
to be produced)
• Tools
• Templates
• Time Schedules
• Resources (writers, reviewers)
• Content Outline (Table of Contents)
The content is written as the coding is
done. The content is reviewed by peers (for language, grammar
and related matters) and technical expert or SME (for technical
accuracy of information). The content is revised as the application
is reviewed and tested. The documentation is released (published)
when the application is launched. |
